ORCHESTRA Data Portal

ORCHESTRA Data Portal

The ORCHESTRA Data Portal is the top-level component in the ORCHESTRA architecture (currently under development) with the main role of providing a centralised point of access for ORCHESTRA data.

In line with the principles of Open Science, the ORCHESTRA Data Portal is open to the public for the benefits of science and society as a whole.

The ORCHESTRA Data Portal will give you

Open Access to

  • ORCHESTRA cohort information, searchable by cohort name or variable or study
  • ORCHESTRA Data Dictionary (OcDec)
  • Scientific ORCHESTRA publications
  • Anonymized public use file of selected variables
  • ORCHESTRA samples that are biobanked: information on number and type

Controlled Access to

  • Pseudonymized data transferred by Question Oriented Data Export
  • Pseudonymized data transferred by Federated Data Analysis

Components of the Data Portal

Cohort Explorer

Identify - through metadata exploration - useful data for scientific questions, for the comparison of similar studies or the proposal of new sub-studies.

ORCHESTRA collected and analysed samples belonging to more than 600.000 patients, divided into four main subgroups: COVID-19 infected patients, general population, fragile population and health care workers.

Data Dictionary

Consult and download the ORCHESTRA Core Data Elements for COVID-19 (OcDeC), a collection of common standardized variables used across ORCHESTRA cohorts.

The ORCHESTRA Data Dictionary has been aligned to international standard terminologies such as LOINC, SNOMED CT and NCIt.

Data Access

Request data access by filling in an online form specifying the cohort data of interest, the variables, and the research question to pursue.

Following approval, pseudonymized or aggregated data will be made available by Question Oriented Data Export or Federated Data Analysis.

Publications

Access all ORCHESTRA publications, sorted by Journal, main ORCHESTRA Partner, or Working Group.

Public Use File

Access directly a subset of anonymized data of COVID-19 patients. To better understand the dataset, several graphs are available.

Biobank

Find out more about the ORCHESTRA biobank. Information on the type and number of stored samples are provided.
